I'm so excited to go to work! Since my promotion has already been announced to all the store managers, it's now more official (yung hindi lang ako ang tumatawa sa isang sulok). Tomorrow will be my first day in my new designation and I am so excited to finally have the authority to make changes. For the past month I can sort of feel like I'm being ignored since my word has no real sense of authority to them. I just want what's best for the store and I need people to listen to me. In the end hopefully they'll understand that how I work will help them in the long run. Is that so wrong?
I knew this even before I left TPC last year. I've seen Bea work and she is more of a terror than I am. Ayoko ng ganun, I would like to be able to leave a little something behind for the store (not necessarily the employees themselves) to carry on until I am long gone. I just love this store so much to not care what happens to it.
Anyway, in other news, I no longer have my stomach pains. But as a precaution, I bought antacids and a couple of Imodium earlier in case it decides to come back. I also got myself two big tetrapacks of milk, cream cheese for the bagels, toothbrush, blush and two different bottles of shampoo and conditioner. I used my wamu again (kaching) since I didn't have any cash on me and I don't think theres a Banco de Oro ATM in BF. I might re-open a BPI account so it's easier for me to withdraw since they have ATM machines everywhere.
I'm pondering on what movie to watch tonight. The Fountain is almost finished but The Last King of Scotland has been sitting in my HD for weeks. I haven't gotten around to watching that since I haven't been in a "profound movie" mood. Or I might give The Fifth Element another try. We'll see later. Hopefully you wake up early so I can chat with you before I sleep. I don't know what time your dad is picking you up for Patrick's graduation. Do not forget to say hi to everybody for me, specially the little kids if they come for the after grad meal. Tell them Auntie Kari misses them a whole lot and that the drawing Zoe gave me is posted on the wall in my room.
kari. Is feeling 16 again.
