I've just programmed my iCal to set all season premiere schedules and is set to repeat reminding me to download my shows every week. My Macbook and HD will once again be on overdrive. I simply cannot wait. I will have my shows again! But this little bit also reminds me of how I was doing the exact same thing (setting reminders) last year. Only difference is, I was in a different country and I didn't need to download anything! Waa! I miss extreme makeover home edition. That show never failed to make me cry! I want a house too!!

Today is the second consecutive day I've had to bring my mac to work. I hope this doesn't become a regular thing. I've never had to use excel so much in one day. I'm so sick of numbers. AAArgh..

That's me under icky fluorescent lighting and that's the conference table/tambakan ng gamit area behind me. Never has my inbox been so busy in a day! SO many emails!

It's payday today for most employees (not us, sa 5th pa kame) so looong lines were formed infront of ATM machines. I have absolutely nothing in my wallet so I needed to withdraw. I went through 3 different atms but I couldn't get money from any of them! I went to the bank to ask what the hell was going on. They told me the machines are going haywire since a lot of people are withdrawing money today. I may not be able to get anything from my atm today daw. Try nalang tom. Shet! So I had to use a credit card on a P108 bill at the supermarket when I bought a loaf of bread and an apple for lunch. How sad! Buti nalang Bea lent me money just now so I can get myself a big mac. I've been soooo hungry since the apple didn't really do me much good.

There's a Buy 1 take 1 sale at Topshop right now. Might go and have a look. Heeee!!!

It's been a loong time since the usual suspects had their last get together. Today we decided to spend another Thursday at Paul's house watching Knocked Up. We were armed with the usual, carbs and a creamy alcoholic beverage. Only this time, we opted for the more expensive kind, BAILEYS! So that plus chips, dip and french fries! Pina-iral namen ang katakawan namen. And to think Bea, Niki and I had a Shakey's dinner with Ara and Grace earlier that night in Rockwell. Bea and I kept teasing Niki all night, "P*kP*k si NIKI!!!" Weeee!

Today, my mom had to have a refresher course on First Class Inflight Service and needed to serve meals on "fake" passengers. My sister tin and her bf went to enjoy the free food and took pics. Here's my mum in action:
I remember being on her flights as a child and everytime she would do that lifevest and inflight safety demo, I would clap my hands and whoot real loud right after. She wanted to kill me.

Just saw it today and HUWAW.

The only reason I managed to sit through the whole thing was because I would watch it in segments, stopping to take a break when scenes get too intense. If I sat through the whole thing in one go, I might have pissed my pants.

Awesome sequel. I wish I could say the same thing for the other sequel I saw earlier today, what was that again? Oh, Fantastic Four. Pfft.

For the first time in 7 months, I cleaned my room today! Hurray! Now it looks like I just moved in. Only in reality, I've been here for half a year now. Kasi naman eh...

It's my day off and I did absolutely nothing today. I even napped in the afternoon which felt fantastic. The only downer to this day was the deafening wails of the son of satan, which could be heard as far as the corner of the street. What's worse is I just received word that this friend of my dad's is sending over his last two kids over the weekend to stay here just as the other two have done. Poo-niyeh-tah! Tin began telling me this news like this, "Ang pinaka-inaayawan natin ay mangyayari na..." Eh yung dalawang yun yung pinakamakulit eh!!! Maglo-lock ako ng kwarto para walang mangbwiset. Si Daniel nalang kasi yung ibalik dito eh!

I attribute my macbook to being the cause of this horrendous back ache I've been having for quite some time now. Not even that last spa visit helped eliminate or even lessen it a bit.

I would also want my own tripod soon. I still have Yoe's old one since I borrowed it when I shot for Wings.

Daniel went home this afternoon. His parents were so pleased with how he was taken cared of this past weekend that they sent the sick son to our house in exchange for Daniel. His name is Samuel and he is the complete opposite of his brother. At 6 months old, Tin only has one word to describe him, "GREMLIN." She was telling me how he was driving everyone in the house to deafness because of his crying and they can't even play with him since he starts bawling when you try to touch him. He cries so hard daw he even claws at his face as he does so. I turn to my mother and go,

Me: Ma, akala ko ba god-fearing ka?
Mom: Ha? Oo, Baket?
Me: Eh, why are you harboring the son of Satan?

We want Daniel back!!!

Daniel is the son of my dad's friend. He stayed with us over the weekend because one of his siblings was sick. He has/had hydrocephalus and will probably be a special child for all his life. Be that as it may, he is still the sweetest and cutest among his siblings (there are four of them).

I did not know that Paul (Bea's Paul) made this. I asked him to transfer our SF Wedding Video from mini DV to dvd so I can finally see it. I saw it posted on his multiply and I didn't have to see it to burst into tears. Geez... I have to share it to everyone!!!

Video was taken by Tito Leo but I never got to see the footage since he was not able to give us a copy until recently when they came to Manila to visit. He gave me the copy in mini dv format so I needed to have it transfered. Paul (ni bea) is such an angel for bothering to do this. Bea knows how much I needed reminding of why I'm here. Thanks to both of you dears...

sick again...

I hate this weather. I finally have a Saturday off and I have to spend it indoors. I almost hit my car on the way home 'cause I almost fell asleep on the road.

So much pain...

Not even 12 hours have passed since my acceptance of the new job, I come home to a full email inbox with a sh!tload of things to do. I may have bit more than I can chew. Before I went home, Katrice has asked me to sign her offset forms. Oh my gawd. I'm now their boss! Somehow, I haven't quite internalized how big of a job this is. I am now in-charge of over 40++ employees. Goodness gracias!

I'll have to let the weekend pass to fully digest recent events. Hopefully I get my game on by Monday.

Just saw 1408. It was good but not as scary as I thought it would be. I didn't scream or hide behind a pillow like I thought I would.

Tried a new cookie recipe today. Made double chocolate chip cookies. It's different what I usually make, this having lots of chocolate in it. I actually like it better. Bitter and sweet at the same time. I made some chewy and fudgy and some "biscuity" just like Tin wants it. It's awesome with milk.

This batch isn't very photogenic as I hadn't had time to properly "beautify" the cookies. I made them after dinner so it was getting late and tin was bugging me to hurry up so she can pop in 1408 and start watching.

It's an AWESOME opportunity and my boss was right in saying that it would be a great addition to my resume. It's the time frame that's kind of bugging me. I have to at least stay for 6-9 months more. I don't really know what the problem is since I already know I will be here longer than I thought I would be. But the fact that I now have to commit myself to a time frame scares me. Will I really be here for that long? I really don't want to but given the fact that things on your end are not moving as fast as I would prefer, I don't see why I shouldn't take this grand chance to make a difference. I just wish I had a real reason not to accept it you know? Like, "Oh I'm sorry, but I have to be getting back to the states now..." I could go back now if I wanted but what would I do there? Sooo confusing but at the same time the answer is also so simple. I can banter all I want but I already know the job is in the bag. The boss was even confident enough to say, "If you don't accept this, I would be really surprised." I would be too.

Just saw it and dammit, this movie is a f*cking tearjerker. I haven't cried so hard because of a movie in a long time.

I loved it. But I don't think I'd be watching it again, not for a loong time anyway. Seeing this again will be emotionally fatal. Damn you Adam Sandler.

In other news, I just saw the Comic Con preview for The Golden Compass. Mas lalo akong ne-excite for December! Woohoo! Daniel Craig I love you! I'm a bit disappointed with the CG for the daemons though. I guess it's really not easy making realistic talking, morphing animals.

Friend(s) are coming out with a full-length feature. This will be shown on Cinema One sometime in September. The film is CONFESSIONAL.



This one was made two years ago by the same group of people. All Hail Direk Jerrold! I was suppose to play the character of Lauren, but after they cast the role of Joy, they realized I would look humongous on screen beside her. All is well, I'm a bad actress anyway :p This one is entitled CARPOOL and won First Place in the 19th Gawad CCP for the Short Feature Category.

I thought of doing this while stuck in traffic on the way to work. I knew everyone was supposed to be dressed up for today's theme, which is obviously hip-hop. They didn't know what I was planning to do with the individual photos I took of them until they saw me assemble it.

I bought a grande caramel machiatto to wake me up a bit. It didn't work so I got another one (Venti size at that!) an hour later but I was still so sleepy. What was that? Almost a LITER of coffee!! It was sooo good though. I hate starbucks for feeding my caffeine addiction...and for burning a whole in my wallet.

Niki just messaged me now inviting me to head to Paul's place for another shakers night. Hmm, maybe alcohol will wake me up?

Been raining hard the past couple of days. Damn this typhoon season. My body's forgotten what it's like to live in below 50 degree weather. I actually wrap myself in a comforter at night, IN MANILA!

It's really going to be just a photo blog. A place for me to showcase some of my favorite photos and photo enhancements. I hope you all come visit and let me know if they're any good.

I wanted to go back to smoking. Simply because I was bored.

I had it planned. I was to spend my wednesday sitting in Starbucks, reading Smoke and Mirrors while I suck a pack of cigarettes. A pack of cigarettes? This was to be an impressive feat as I haven't smoked a pack of anything in a span of a year.

I purchased a pack of my "usual" and a small cricket lighter, trotted off to the corner cafe, bought my other usual (nonfat grande iced white mocha, hee!), sat down and lit my first stick. When the first wave of nicotine rush hit my head, I started to wonder whether I could do this.

I couldn't.

I smoked just enough to leave room to slip the lighter in the pack, left it there on the table and drove home. Soon as I got home, I washed my face and brushed my teeth to get rid of the gunk.

I think I've gone soft.

Today was a very boring day at work for me. I was supposed to have a shoot but they cancelled. Spent the day doing nothing. Tin and Yoe visited me (or was it for Sasha?) at work and they stayed until I was off at 8. We went around the mall and I did the inevitable. Having no more than P300 in my ATM card but armed with a credit card, I bought the last pink and silver bikini in topshop plus two pairs of undies, one with adorable yellow duckie prints on it. I am now, without question, broke to the teeth.

I got home and Tin arrived soon after me. I rode home with Bea since I left my car at her place. Tin was hungry and I myself was craving for something to eat so we made ourselves a "snack."

Spent the night watching youtube snippets from SNL's Weekend Update. They're so funny I have to share some of my favorite ones.

I left rockwell after a dinner date with Sheila around quarter to 9. It was on my way down south so I dropped her off at greenbelt where she was to meet Rico. The traffic home was beyond horrible, it was MORBIDLY HORRIBLE.

Thank god I had my iPod on and I had The Deathly Hallows audiobook to keep me distracted from the pain that was beginning to creep into my left leg. I hate driving stick.

I finally get home and I glance at the clock on the wall of the dining room and was shocked to see it was exactly midnight. I had just spent THREE WHOLE HOURS driving home on what could be a 30 minute trip on a good day.

I feel the need to kill just to place blame on someone, or anyone for my wasted time. Does anyone want someone taken out? Let me know and I might look into it.

If you haven't seen it yet, I recommend you do, even if you're not a fan of the movie. The action, car chases, bombs exploding, fist fights, glass smashing is worth paying for that ticket. It's better to see it on the big screen really. Director Paul Greengrass shakes his camera a whole lot though so prepare to get a little dizzy.

Paul and Bea let me crash their movie date and I sat beside their cozy little loveseat. Thanks you two. I think Bea knew I needed an upper after the weird day I had.

Just started watching this new show Californication from Showtime. It's so funny!! David Duchovny's much older now and not as hot as he used to be but he fits the character of a one-book-wonder writer undergoing a life crisis. The series has a lot of sex in it which adds to the humor of it. It's a good boredom filler.

My photos are so mediocre they make me yawn.

My design style is very minimalistic simply because I can't think of anything else.

Sometimes I feel I am wasting my skills because I can't seem to express myself as beautifully as I would like.

Worked in MOA today. It was boring but managed to sell quite a bit to the one shoot I had today. I felt sorry for the couple who walked out of the store looking like they were mugged and lost 7k for photos of their kids. At least they liked my photos enough to drop that much money on a Thursday afternoon. I didn't even get seriously great photos. Their son was not in a very good mood and would start crying once he was left infront of the lights.

My nights have been pretty dull after I finished the Deathly Hallows so I bought this.

I really was after Stardust but National Bookstore didn't have it so I got this one instead. Now that most my nights are no longer spent infront of the macbook, I can finally begin my much postponed affair with Neil Gaiman.

Your mom was here when I got home from work. She was chatting with my mom and gave me my pasalubong from Dubai, chocolates and two belts. She also gave me your Mabuhay Miles credit card which I have no use for.

Tita Bax, Tito Leo and the kids are in the country. They're currently in Nueva Ecija visiting tito Leo's family. Your mom tells me Elijah has insane skin allergies. He's very sensitive to just about anything that touches him. That pretty much flushed my plans of inviting them for a portrait session down the drain. I fear the boy will break out into hives as soon he as gets into contact with the blankies and costumes. They said I am to take your place as godparent since you can't be around. I'm not sure if I will be the official replacement or just a proxy.

Currently downloading Vacancy. I heard it sucks but I'm running out of things to do when I'm home that I'd watch just about anything right now.

Met up at Mcdo in alabang at 9am where we had a quick breakfast. Headed to Orchard Golf and Country Club in Cavite for badminton and swimming. While pruning ourselves in the water, we planned the rest of our day around our all time favorite topic: FOOD. So the plan was to head back to BF to have chinese food at South Dynasty where we were to satisfy our craving for lemon chicken, hotpot and beef and broccoli in oyster sauce. We left orchard a little past noon and headed back to BF, only to discover that South Dynasty won't open till later that afternoon. We were really hungry now after a morning of supposed sports and exercise so it didn't really matter at this point what we ate as long as we had something. We ended up going to Gourmet and gorging on nachos (w/ cheese, beef, salsa, sour cream, jalapeno), french fries (wiped on the leftover toppings of the nachos). Each of us had our individual gourmet burgers while Niki had her tacos plus a couple of bbq from the stall next door. I had a fantastic bleu cheese burger. As full as we were, we drove to Conti's to score some dessert. Two slices of mango tarts, a slice of mango bravo and a slice of blueberry cheesecake later, we were supremely satisfied and paul drove us back to his place where he cranked the aircon in his room and we all had a 3-4 hour nap. Pao, niki and I shared the bed while our gracious hosts slept on the floor. Mga baboy talaga kame, alam ko. Pero hindi pa nagtatapos ang kababuyan jan. When we woke up, we wanted to watch a dvd but didn't want to do it without grub. Paul grabbed the phone and dialed for a family sized Pizza Hut Cheesy Pops pizza. We could've licked the pizza box clean as it was wiped out within minutes of its arrival.

Masarap na day off ito. Kain, tulog, swimming, badminton. Hayluveet.

Sometimes I wish I drank more. I always end up looking like a prude when I'm out with friends or with Paul. It doesn't take a lot to get me drunk and I really don't want to be that girl who needs to get carried out of the bar at the end of the night. How does one gain tolerance with alcohol?
