TPC Laguna Trip
I am sooo pooped. I woke up at 6am. Dragged my ass out of bed and showered. Bea said she was going to pick me and Aerika up at 7:30. Bea arrived but aerika woke up late so we had to wait. When she arrived, we headed to petron on south super to meet up with the rest of the girls. You don't know any of these people, just bea and aerika (raf's babymama). Anyway, yadda yadda. We get there and swim. The place is medal's in-law's place so we had the pool to ourselves. We waded in the pool for the rest of the morning. The deepest end was so shallow it barely reached my waist. Lynn brought her 1 year old son so we had a "toy" to play with. We had a simple but yummy lunch of tilapia, liempo and ensaladang mangga with talong. CHAMPION bb. So good. After lunch we played card games. Not pusoy dos but mostly games that made us scream like little girls like 123 pass. The loser had to have their face doodled with eyeliner. We didn't stop until everyone's faces had been vandalized. The aftermath below...

Wondering if I still have IT
So I went to rockwell today for my refresher course in TPC 101. Bea gave me a quick run down on what's new and changed since I last worked there. Everything's still a bit fuzzy but I pretty much remember the basics. My only worry is, can I still shoot? I'm not saying I'm the best but I do think I produced a lot of good photos in my two year run in TPC. Having been out of practice for a year, I'm kind of wondering if I can still do it. I'm pretty nervous about Sunday which is my official first work day. They're throwing me back in the fire. Sunday being a weekend and standard "family day," I can expect us to be swamped with shoots. Papatayin ako sa nerbiyos. Paano kung pumalpak ako? Anong gagawin koooo?!? Hinga kari, hingaaaaa....
Understatement of the year
| You Are 65% Left Brained, 35% Right Brained |

If you're left brained, you are likely good at math and logic. Your left brain prefers dogs, reading, and quiet. The right side of your brain is all about creativity and flexibility. Daring and intuitive, right brained people see the world in their unique way. If you're right brained, you likely have a talent for creative writing and art. Your right brain prefers day dreaming, philosophy, and sports. |
Kari's Day Out
So I got out of the house today (wowoweewah!) and went to Tin's exhibit in makati. I stayed for a short while because the place they rented out had weak air conditioning and no windows. The room was hella hot. Cramped space, lots of people, not good. Went to Greenbelt 3 after. Friday traffic was as expected. It took me a little under an hour to get to greenbelt from the exhibit. For distance comparison, think driving from Haight and Fillmore to Amoeba. It took me an hour to drive that. Ibang klase talaga sa pinas. When i got there i thought of having dinner at Sugi since people have recommended i try out the place. I walked by the resto and saw that it was not a nice place to be seen eating ALONE. And I really don't want to be that pitiful lady eating sushi and reading a magazine thinking people can't see her there all alone. If they had a sushi bar then i wouldn't mind. But i really hate how when you say table for one and they immediately take out all the place settings but one and grab the extra chair beside or infront of you leaving you without the option of at least pretending that you're waiting for someone.
So I went to the Apple store on the second floor to see if they had coolpads. They did so i got one. Used my WAMU to pay for it. Teehee! First wamu charge. Kaching! I then went to the theatre level and got a ticket for my show. It was reserved seats and based on the choices they gave me, it was a full house tonight but i managed to score a seat with a good view. Later I find out I'm sandwiched between two canoodling couples. PERFECT. I was gna get a smoothie to bring in the movie but the line in Big Chill was long ad slow moving so i went in. I knew my bladder wouldn't let me last the whole movie if i drank anything anyway.
The movie was as I expected. I DID want to see a shallow, sappy movie. And that's pretty much what i got. I wanted to see it because i wanted to see the clothes they wore and Mandy Moore (I think that rhymed). She is my guilty pleasure. She is not Paris Hilton and doesn't party like Lindsay Lohan. Although she did date DJ AM which knocked her back a couple of points. So anyway, the movie. Right. Well, yeah, sweet, cheesy, girly, corny and in the end they all broke out into song. You would've hated it. But it did give me that "giggly" feeling so I guess the movie worked in a sense.
I was planning on going to Starbucks and see if they had free wi-fi. I saw on a website that the starbucks in G3 had it. But all I wanted to do when I got out of the theatre was rush home so I'd be online when you woke up so I headed home. Besides, when I got down to the lagoon area, I saw the place was PACKED. Filled with friday night gimickers, dressed up and canoodling with each other. I hate the manila social party scene. Ugh!
I'm home now. I'm surpised I'm not hungry. I only had one piece chicken and rice when I woke up earlier and this is what I just had for dinner.
I don't normally like blondes
But I watched Layer Cake again last night and I have a serious crush on this woman. There aren't a lot of beautiful english women, but she's definitely on my top 5, at least.
Ohh LE LE:
