Thank you so much for calling. It was so great to hear from you. I really do hope to see you guys again soon. If I manage to get money soon, I might try to visit before I head out to the US. As soon as the British Embassy grants me a visa. :)

I need my own compact camera so I won't have to rely on Niki's phone pics all the time. I keep posting late pictures.

Ash Wednesday

Went to gym, got a haircut then met up with Paul, Niki, Jad and Jammi for an early vietnamese dindin at Pho Hoa. Niki gets her first taste of Pho...she didn't like it (baduy!). Had two bowls of pho (beef and plain), breaded tofu with mushrooms and red pepper sauce, spring rolls with lettuce wraps, fried spring roll with shrimp and pork and a dessert of fried bananas with ice cream.

Boys and girls split up, Niki and I went shopping. I buy my Ray-ban aviators then out of guilt from my mom, the two of us actually go to church! Met up with the boys again then we pick Bea up.Went to Paul's again to drink screwdrivers. The boys cooked us corned beef, sausages with pan de sal (awww, sweet!) Girls get drunk and pass out.

Kari goes first.

Niki goes next.

Then Bea is out.Jad with two sleeping beauties...who will likely be his Boracay roommates since the Santiago couple will have a separate room.

The night we found out we're going to Boracay.

ARE GOING TO

BORACAY!

Just when I thought all hope was lost and that the usual suspects were never going on a trip together, the AMAZING happened! Despite the fact that Bea, Niki and I are all managers and we doubted our boss would ever let 3 managers go on vacation together, I mustered all my courage and emailed her to ask permission. Less than an hour later, she replied with an excited YES! She actually said yes! On the way home the three of us were screaming in the car! We're going to BORACAY!

FIVE DAYS of sun on an island with a long strip of white sand beach. Paul and Jad are coming along with us and if Paul manages to get some of his other friends to go, the better! I am so excited! Boracay is once again not in my list of places to go but I'm willing to go anywhere as long as it's not in Manila!

We have a month to slim down for our bikinis and save up for the trip. Bea's decided to join us in our morning gym routine and we're cutting down on junk and spending. We had home cooked dindin at Paul's tonight and had salad, chicken soup, breaded chicken and pork and a side of diced apples and oranges. All from SM Hypermarket at P65 each! Chea!

...wheeeeee!!! Then two weeks after, I'm off to Cebu again! Wheeeeeeeee!!!!

Been overly stressed with a lot of stuff lately and when depressed or stressed, I usually take it out on my hair. Went to the salon for a cut and decided on a short 'do in a spur of the moment kind of way. I just really wanted to get a cut since my hair's too long and has been difficult already. She cut it a couple inches and asked if it was okay but I said, "SHORTER!"

Straight again for a day. But it's the shortest I've had it since 2004.
I wonder how it'll look like when curly.

Poll: Should I keep the straight hair?

It's a good cut and style but I'm afraid to get my hair relaxed since my curly hair has sort of been my trademark. Without it, I'm not quite Kari.
