Last Day Out in Vegas

Louiie took me out the desert on my last day. What's a vacation in Nevada without experiencing barren lands and intense heat? Hahaha! First she took me to the Ethel M chocolate factory where the workers were obviously on break. Hehe. We walked around the cactus garden beside it for a bit.

Then we headed off to the Lake Mead National Recreation Area en route to the Hoover Dam. We kept stopping every so often to take photos of the dunes and rock formations. I was so glad to be roaming with a companion so Louiie and I alternately took vanity photos of each other. I was so not dressed for a day in the desert but at least I was pretty. Hahaha!

My tattoo was searing under the heat of the sun so I had to cover it up using tissue and duct tape.

I love my vintage dress. It looked so good against Nevada's barren lands.

We got lost for a bit then finally found our way to the location of Megatron and the ALL SPARK! Hahaha! I was more excited that Optimus Prime digitally touched this place more than anything else.

I clung to my aviators for dear life.
I was afraid they'd slide off and away.

For some weird reason, I was craving for bread, cheese and fruit. Louiie drove to Boulder City and managed to find a nice cafe called Milo's Cellar that served just that! We had such an awesome dinner at what Louiie claims was a fraction of the price of what they should be. They had such a wide selection of wines (they are a cellar after all) and lagers that went for $4 a glass!

This was exactly what I was craving for!
Beaujolais Platter
Baked Brie with nuts, dried fruit, grapes, apples and bread
broccoli and cheddar soup with bread and olive oil-vinegar dip
Porto Bella sandwich
grilled chicken, manchego cheese, portobello mushrooms, greens, a light dressing with a side of fruit, pickle and potato salad
Buffalo Chicken Salad in a light ranch dressing
It's a creamy chocolate mousse cake, I don't need to describe it!
It was good! It was ALL very, very good!

Vimeo is having upload problems right now so if you're checking this early, then you'll need to make do with the crappy Blogger video player. I'll upload a nicer version in Vimeo as soon as they get their sh!t together.

When we got home, Louiie napped for an hour then we headed back out to have drinks at Arsy's place. I had a couple glasses of wine and a Stella and I passed out on the couch.
