Back up north (of California) after a year and a half. Staying with Chriselle in Redwood City. She and her dad are going out of their way to make me feel comfortable and at home. My flight here was okay. I half-feared I was going to be late. My flight was at 8am and by 7am, Jose had just got out of the room to take me to the airport. Thankfully, I made it on time and had time to chill before boarding. Since my mom works for an airline, I've been on a few flights and am able to tell the difference between a good take off and landing. Take off was not great since the plane accelerated and elevated too fast it was like being in a small rocket. Then as soon as it reached optimum elevation, the plane stopped rising so abruptly that it felt like the engine stopped running and the plane was going to drop. Kind of like that feeling when you're in a swing and you're going real high and you get that feeling in your chest just before you're about to swing back down. The hour went by fast with me watching three Friends episodes on my iPod. The highlight of the plane ride was during landing. I was thinking to myself how it wasn't a bad landing when the flight stewardess said OVER THE SPEAKER, "That was a ridiculous landing. What a show off!" A few passengers laughed and I wished other airlines had the same sense of humor.
I hope my trip here will be eventless. I mean it in a sense that I wish I won't run into any drama. I came here for one reason only, to get all my stuff back. I made arrangements so I won't have a reason to deal with he-who-must-not-be-named and I hope he won't give me any reasons to break my barrier of calm, cool, collectiveness.
