turning chapters

Louiie and Kelly took me to First Friday (http://www.firstfriday-lasvegas.org). We checked out an exhibit at The Arts Factory. Sadly, not a lot of them impressed me. If anything, it only showed me how I could pull off an exhibit of my own work. All I need is an appraiser and I definitely can sell a lot of my photos here. There were photos of images such as manholes and bicycles that went for hundreds of dollars! We walked through the festival and looked through street art, listened to street music, and checked out antiques and vintage clothing.

Louiie got me this cool skeleton key from the clock shop. They sold a variety of keys from the 1800s and I chose the simplest looking one. A lot of them looked the same (and HEAVY!) and I wanted the lone one that stood out from the rest. I'm going to make it into a pendant and put it on the chain she got me from Thailand.

We shared a strawberry funnel cake and checked out the shops that sold vintage clothing. Kelly scored a really cute belt, a mickey mouse shirt, red shades and she and Louiie got a few scarves. I bought a nice flower print dress just because I never own anything with flowers on them.

We had dinner ar Jerry's Nugget because Louiie heard of their $10 prime rib from her co-workers. Kelly and I were all excited to share one until we found out they only had it in rare and extra rare. Louiie liked hers all bloody but it really looked unsavory. We ordered lobster and steak with salad, potatoes and garlic bread. We barely got through half of the prime rib until we gave up. It was too big!!! Louiie decided to take it home and make something else out of it.

ugh!

We then skipped to Fremont, dubbed as old Las Vegas to check out the light show. It had none of the modernity of the new Las Vegas Strip. There were a lot of old biker folks and 8 out of 10 people were holding a yard long drink (us included).
