The Lives of Others

GALENG!

I highly recommend it! It reminds me of Gene Hackman's The Conversation (1974), only more political and dramatic. I loved it!

If you like foreign films (this one's german) and don't mind subtitles. Go see it!

One of the things I also miss most in SF are the theatres that show more than just the usual blockbusters. I was introduced to the world of indies. Movies I would never be able to see here unless I download them or see them in BFRuins by chance.

What I want to do on my birthday...

I know it's a long way away but seeing Grace's list of things to do made me want to give myself a deadline. Okay, so my birthday is November 21, a Wednesday. I want to go to Thailand on November 19-23. That's roughly two months from now. I should be able to save enough money to do this right.

Now the question is, who wants to come with me?

Again, thats

November 19 - Leave for Bangkok
enjoy 4-5 days of fun fun!
November 23 - Back in Manila

I'm thinking of leaving on the earliest flight on the morning of the 19th so I can explore the city for the rest of the day. Stay overnight in the city then shuttle out to a resort somewhere and be on the beach until I have to leave on the 23rd. I think that's a good and budgeted amount of time to spend there seeing as I don't really have money flowing out of my ears.

I don't have any of the details planned yet (where to stay, what flight, etc). I will deal with all of that in due time. I'm just announcing my plans so it would feel more solid to me.

"Form a goal in your mind and if you believe in it enough, the universe will conspire to give it to you."

So again, who's with me? Spending my birthday on my own will be hella lonely but I'll do it anyway.

Iniinggit ko lang si Bea

Ang sarap talaga ni Niki kasama kumain. Kaya hinding hindi talaga kame pwedeng magkasama araw-araw dahil paniguradong tataba kame. I might hve been late for work today but I made it up to her by getting us a Country Style Bagel Deluxe with chips! I have to learn how to make one of those because they are absolutely divine. We just had lunch in Bangus downstairs. Bistek Bangus Steaks with sizzling kangkong smothered with this delightful garlic-ginger sauce. My head was swimming after the meal I wanted to yell "Ang sarap kumain!!"

We'll let a couple more hours pass and Niki is suggesting we have mango dessert crepes. Weeee!
